Designed to interface with dot matrix displays (vacuum fluorescent or LED), the MIC10938 and MIC10939 Dot Matrix Display Controller form a two-chip MOS/LSI general-purpose display controller system. This system can drive displays with up to 35 anodes (dots) and up to 20 grids (characters) in addition to a cursor. The chips offer cascading capabilities to drive larger displays, accommodating up to 80 characters.
