Established in 2002, Beijing HED Electronic Design Co., Ltd. (HED) is an integrated circuit design company, formerly known as the Beijing IC Design Center of the former Ministry of Electronics Industry. In 2009, through the restructuring of China Electronic Information Industry Group (CEC), HED Electronics became a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Electronics Group Holdings Limited (00085.HKSE). HED Electronics is one of the earliest companies to develop CPU smart card chips in China. The products are widely used in the second generation of resident ID cards, social security, fueling, mobile communications, watches (water and electricity), transportation, high-end identity authentication, etc. Gained market share that has attracted worldwide attention. Since 1997, HED Electronics has successfully developed China's first self-owned copyrighted smart card chip, forming a different CPU platform based on 8-bit/16-bit/32-bit, multiple storage capacities, multiple communication rates, multiple interfaces, and multiple A number of smart card series chips, such as security algorithms, fully meet the various needs of smart card applications.
