Renesas' solution for FPD power supply is to provide a product line for various power supply voltages such as PFC ICs and forward converters and DC-DC converters that can improve AC to DC conversion efficiency, and support customer FPD power supply development. A flat panel display (FPD) power supply is used for a liquid crystal panel of a television/PC display, a thin display panel such as a plasma (PDP) display. Thin TVs and PC LCDs have recently been affected by the shift to digital broadcasting, and their markets are constantly expanding. TVs and monitors that use FPD are constantly developing to a large screen and high definition, and in order to adapt to the long-term use in normal times, it is also necessary to have a green and low power consumption.
